The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.
Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
